Funding your degree

Our Welfare team has prepared a handy guide to student funding, specifically for Medicine and Dentistry students.

Our Welfare team has produced a guide to student funding for medicine and dentistry students, which covers tuition fee loans, maintenance loans and supplementary grants, Queen Mary bursaries, and NHS bursaries, grants and allowances.

This information is primarily aimed at students ordinarily resident in England, who should apply for Student Finance at www.gov.uk/student-finance

For Scotland, visit www.saas.gov.uk
For Wales, visit www.studentfinancewales.co.uk
For Northern Ireland, visit www.studentfinanceni.co.uk

If you are interested in NHS Bursaries information, please visit www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/nhs-bursary-students

The team has also developed more in-depth funding guidance for students starting MBBS Medicine (as a first or second degree) and MBBS Medicine Graduate Entry Programme.

We also have information for students transferring to the MBBS at Queen Mary as part of the special arrangements for Oxbridge or St Andrew's students, or studying on the Maxillofacial Surgery programme.
