Career preparation
You’ll have access to specialised careers resources from day one of your degree at the School of Business and Management.
Once you’re enrolled, you can always drop into the Queen Mary Careers Service for a chat – whether you have a specific query or just want to talk through your options.
The School of Business and Management has a dedicated Employer Engagement and Internships Coordinator, and we run a tailored careers programme for our students. In previous years, this has included business-specific workshops, alumni panel events and office visits to Bloomberg.
We also run a free four-day leadership development course for third-year students, providing practical leadership training outside the classroom. Our alumni network lets you connect with fellow Queen Mary graduates worldwide – many of whom can offer mentoring and networking opportunities in a range of professional fields.
You can also get involved with the range of initiatives run by the Queen Mary Careers and Enterprise team, including taster schemes with employers, consultancy projects with local organisations, and internships.
The Careers and Enterprise team also offer specialist advice on choosing a career path, support with finding work experience and graduate jobs, feedback on CVs, cover letters and application forms, and interview coaching.
