Landing pages
A landing page is designed to be the first page your user might see on your website. It should introduce the user to a particular subject, and then signpost them on to pages containing more specific information.
The most obvious landing page you will create is your homepage, but you may also have other smaller landing pages introducing more specific topics. There are two main variations of landing page -
Triage landing pages
These landing pages are most common, and provide the user with multiple signpost options, allowing them to pick the one most suitable for their needs.
Eg a landing page about booking an appointment, where the triage options allow the user to select which type of appointment they would like to book.
Call to action landing pages
These landing pages are for when you have one specific journey you would like your user to follow. This doesn’t mean that it is the only link on the page, but rather any other link on the page is less important.
Eg a landing page about a particular event, where you want the user to click the sign-up button.
