Flying Start (Accountancy) Open Event

Queen Mary has partnered with PricewaterhouseCoopers to bring you an exciting and prestigious BSc Accountancy Flying Start programme, which allows you to earn while you learn.

Why study BSc Accountancy (Flying Start)?

This course is designed to set you up for a successful career in accounting, within the Big Four. You’ll be part of a small cohort of carefully selected classmates, who will be gearing up for careers as qualified accountants. The programme’s prestige will not only give you an edge, but open doors for you in terms of employability. As part of the course, you'll take part in paid work placements with PwC's assurance team, where you will work on real projects for real clients. Students who successfully complete the course will be supported to move into a graduate role at PwC.

  • Take part in one of only five prestigious Flying Start Accountancy programmes in the UK.
  • Be paid to work on placements at PwC in Years 2-4.
  • Get a £10,000 bursary from PwC if you come from a household with an income of £35,000 or below.
  • Graduate with an accountancy degree with a world-recognised ICAEW accreditation.
  • Sit 12 of the 15 accountancy exams required to become a qualified accountant.
  • Gain experience and exposure to a Big Four company, which will increase your employability post-graduation.
