There's a slight change of pace with this July Meet-Up as we team up with Art Macabre for some 'death drawing' in the pathology museum. The theme, 'Death and the Maiden', allows us to explore some iconic images of the female form juxtaposed with skeletons or the figure of death, in particular the photographic series featured here "Fool Death, My Playmate" by Franz Fiedler (1885-1956). Doors open at 6pm giving you the chance to view the specimens in the museum and drink your free patented cocktail: a ‘Mort’ini.
The models will be posing for you to sketch from 6:30pm onwards, and you can also draw the specimens and be inspired by projected images. Then take a few moments to pose with a skeleton yourself and recreate your own iconic image with our Death & the Maiden photo booth! The event is OPEN TO ALL, all drawing materials are included in the price and you can leave with as many works of art as you like.
