CANCER - CELLS BEHAVING BADLY

20 May 2014

Time: 7:00pm
Venue: Bethnal Green Working Men's Club

Barely a day goes by without us seeing an advert for a cancer charity, either on TV, at the bus stop or on our Facebook newsfeeds. Have you ever wondered where all that charity money goes? On 20th May you can find out. Trevor Graham and Richard Grose from Queen Mary University London will be talking to us about the exciting research their labs are up to. Richard will be showing us how cells communicate and how this goes wrong in cancer. Trevor will tell us how we need to go back to Darwin and evolution to really understand cancer. Plus, you get to see the sort of research all those #nomakeupselfies fund.

This event will include an exhibition of Prof Peter Cull's work, hosted by Cedric Gilson. Cull was a medical artist who produced work which was not only strikingly beautiful but anatomically correct.

Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation and all your ticket money will go towards future events
