The School of Economics and Finance is pleased to announce that Professor Adrian Pagan (University of Sydney and Senior Research Fellow, Nuffield College, Oxford) will deliver a VAR seminar on Friday 14 June 2013. The seminar is based on an extended seminar given at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and at the Bank of England and will look at examples of working with SVARs with Eviews.


Professor Pagan has contributed intensively to the development of econometrics and the macroeconomic modelling of business cycles. He is a distinguished academic econometrician, who has collaborated with over 50 co-authors, which indicates the reach and continuing influence of his work. He is also a highly influential contributor to current debate about monetary policy a round the world. He is a former Reserve Bank Board member with ties to many other central banks, such as the Bank of England and the IMF.

PhD, MSc students with interest in the subject and staff at QMUL are welcome to attend this event.
