LCO New: Explore 'Inspired by Digital' 2012/13 celebrates the London Chamber Orchestra's new residency at Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL). A partnership between the distinguished orchestra and QMUL's world-leading Centre for Digital Music (C4DM), this study day / workshop / concert sequence aims to forge new connections between composers, performers, and listeners through state-of-the-art technologies.Young, emerging composers will be introduced to the technologies and exposed to established composers' responses to 'inspired by', stimulating their creative approach to composing music and instigating new forms of musical expression, ways of conceptualising music, and types of listening experiences. These young composers will be invited to write short works using and integrating these technologies; selected compositions will be performed, recorded, and published by LCO and C4DM.
