Venue: Charterhouse Square

Come and be part of the first ever Barts and The London Science Festival on Saturday 2 July 2011, from 12.00pm to 5.30pm at Charterhouse Square – entry is free. The Science Festival is aimed at anyone with an interest in science and promises to be a fun-packed day so bring yourselves, your families, friends and children and see what’s on offer:

Science Market: pose your questions directly to the scientists as different research groups from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry exhibit their work.
Science Competition: be impressed, entertained and enthralled as our young scientists present their latest research.
Performing Medicine: witness the unique and award-winning project that uses performance and the visual arts to provide training to medical students.
Lecturettes: hear leading scientists deliver a series of short lectures on how to grow your own body parts, the merits of eating your greens (and purples !) and whether chocolate is good for you.
Plus…

Let’s Talk Hearts:
part of a series of talks, open to all, providing a forum to learn about heart conditions, how (and why) you should keep your heart healthy, and the latest research on cardiovascular health.
There will be breaks, refreshments and plenty of discussion in-between talks.
