Speaker: Professor Paul Cartledge

Paul Cartledge is A.G. Leventis Professor of Greek Culture at the University of Cambridge, and has written and edited many books on the Ancient Greek world. As a world expert on Athens and Sparta in the Classical Age, he served as chief historical consultant for the BBC television series The Greeks. In addition to his Professorship at Cambridge, he holds a visiting Global Distinguished Professorship at New York University, funded by the Greek Parliament.
