The College Music Society's Easter Concert
'Handel, Haydn and Mendelssohn in England'
As this academic year coincides with the Anniversary Celebrations of the deaths of Haydn and Handel and the birth of Mendelssohn, both the Christmas and Easter Concerts have followed this theme. The Easter programme now explores the dramatic way these composers influenced and contributed to the musical life of the UK, including some of their most famous tuneful works. The second half of the concert will also include some light hearted gems from the Music Society’s recent repertoire.
Admission is free and booking is not required for this event.
