Profile

Historian of childhood and family in 19th and 20 centuries in Denmark and India. Particularly interested in these themes as they intersect with questions of emotions, violence, secrets, gender, race, class, and religion. Active in the public debate about question of marriage, divorce, childhood, etc. Former chairperson of The Young Academy of Denmark, The Royal Danish Society of Sciences and Letters and member of several advisory boards and editorial boards. Principal Investigator (PI) and co-PI of different collective research projects.
