Professor Katarina Trimmings

Profile

Katarina Trimmings is a Professor of Law and the Director of the Centre for Private International Law at the University of Aberdeen. She has written extensively on matters pertaining to cross-border movement of children, in particular international parental child abduction and cross-border surrogacy arrangements. She has extensive experience in coordinating externally funded collaborative research project (see e.g. POAM - https://research.abdn.ac.uk/poam/). She is one of the authors of the 15thedition of Cheshire’s Private International Law (Oxford University Press, 2017), and is currently working on a co-authored book on the 1996 Hague Child Protection Convention (to be published by OUP).
