Profile

My research has focused principally on issues of gender, identity and care and has included studies of male childcare workers, fathering identities and young masculinities. I have contributed to many Open University courses on work with children, young people and families and am currently the coordinator of the OU's Masters in Childhood and Youth Studies. Before joining The Open University I worked on community education projects with young offenders and other marginalised groups and communities.
