I am a director, dramaturg, and scholar of childhood, migration, and transnational South Asia and the Middle East. My research traces the planetary stakes of mass displacement through the figure of the child refugee. My writing has appeared in Performance Research, Studies in South Asian Film & Media, Women’s Studies, and is forthcoming in Theatre Journal. I hold a BA in History from Cornell University, and a PhD in Theater and Performance Studies from Stanford University.
