Profile

Dr. Isabel Martinez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Latin American and Latinx Studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York. A graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University’s Sociology and Education Ph.D. program, her research has primarily focused on the transnational lives of unaccompanied immigrant teenagers from Mexico and Central America and the teaching, learning and living of Latinx undergraduate students.
