Chae-Young Kim is a Lecturer in Education at the University of Manchester, UK. She began her career working for UNICEF in South Korea and, after obtaining a PhD at the University of Cambridge, has taught and researched at several UK universities. She is especially interested in how poverty and inequality influence adolescents’ educational and other social opportunities and outcomes.
