Professor Emeritus in the Department of Educational Foundations at MSU, and a Fellow of the Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children. Published extensively on the topics of Philosophy for Children, philosophy of childhood, and community of inquiry theory, Past editor of Thinking: The Journal of Philosophy for Children. Current co-editor of Childhood and Philosophy. Nine books, 90+ publications. Has conducted workshops in P4C in the US, Iceland, Brazil, Mexico, China, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Portugal, Ukraine and Colombia.
