Therese Bjørndal Halvorsen is a researcher in child and adolescent mental health at UiT, The Arctic University of Norway. She holds a PhD in Health Sciences and has a particular interest in children’s and families’ experiences of mental health, well-being, and support services. Her current research focuses more broadly on children and families in child and adolescent mental health services. Her broader research interests include children’s and parents’ perspectives, family support and parenting interventions, school attendance difficulties, migration and refugee experiences, and qualitative research with children and families. She is particularly interested in methodological, ethical, and epistemological questions concerning how the perspectives of children and families can be recognized and used as meaningful sources of knowledge in research and practice.
