Her research interests include children and family learning in informal contexts, children's agency and rights, multimodality, and education in heritage sites. She has worked in museums, galleries and other heritage sites in both China and the UK, designing and delivering family activities, evaluating family programmes, researching and testing exhibits with current and/or potential audiences.
