Kerryn Dixon is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Nottingham, UK. She is a scholar of critical language and literacy studies with a focus on early childhood. Her work explores has focused on the ways in which critical approaches to language and literacy can be harnessed in teacher education. She is particularly interested in the ways in which children make meaning of their worlds and works with theories and methodologies that are attuned to tracing the circulation of power relations
