Dr. Betül Durmuş is a postdoctoral researcher at the Hertie School Centre for Fundamental Rights. She holds a PhD degree in public law from Koç University, Turkey. Her current research focuses on upbringing of children from an international human rights law perspective, the interaction between philosophy and international human rights law, and the contributions of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child to the broader field of international human rights law.
