Loritta Chan is a geographer who specialises in children and young people’s geographies, livelihoods and sustainable cities. She broadly explores the intersections of social and environmental issues within cities, and is particularly interested in how different communities of diverse, intersectional identities experience and (re)imagine what an inclusive, sustainable urban environment means to them. Her past and current research topics include: the livelihoods of waste-picker families in Delhi, shaping inclusive cities for young people in Brazil and India, and participatory methodologies in research with young people.
