Dr Ayça Atabey is a lawyer and multidisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of law and human-computer interaction. Ayça is an incoming lecturer on IT/Data Law at Newcastle University and currently works as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh's Digital Education Research Centre, Edinburgh Futures Institute and is a collaborator at the Digital Futures for Children centre. Her research focuses on data protection law, AI governance and child-centered AI design in health and education.
