The MCCRC is a virtual research centre in which technology lawyers and computer scientists will work collaboratively on cutting-edge research challenges in cloud computing. This collaboration will involve the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, a world class research centre in key areas relevant to the development of cloud computing, including distributed systems, networking and security, and the Cloud Legal Project at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, which has been conducting pioneering research in the emerging field of cloud computing law since 2009.
