Professional Development Courses

Queen Mary Business School undergraduate and postgraduate students the opportunity to take part in Professional Development courses three times a year, during Reading Weeks. These one-day courses are designed to prepare you for work, equipping you with new skills while strengthening your employability. During the course, students will develop knowledge of a range of topics. Sessions we've run in the past include:

  • Business Writing Skills
  • Effective Communication
  • Public Speaking
  • Assertiveness
  • Microsoft Excel (introductory, intermediate and advanced)
  • Introduction to Financial Trading

Each Reading Week, we typically offer four courses across two days for around 80 students.
