Queen Mary Business School's MSc International Human Resource Management programme has been approved for academic alignment with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), one of the world's largest professional associations for HR professionals.
The alignment confirms that the programme meets SHRM's HR Curriculum Guidelines, which outline the knowledge and skills expected of HR professionals. The MSc International Human Resource Management is now listed in SHRM's HR Programme Directory.
The recognition strengthens the programme's international profile and reflects its focus on preparing students to respond to the people-management challenges facing organisations across different markets, cultures and regulatory environments.
Through the programme, students explore how organisations manage talent, leadership, employee relations and organisational change across different countries and cultures. This helps develop the judgement and confidence needed to make effective decisions in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
Dr Chris McLachlan, Senior Lecturer in MSc International Human Resource Management, said:
"This recognition reflects the international focus of the programme and our commitment to preparing students for HR careers in a global environment. Today's HR professionals work across different cultural, organisational and regulatory contexts, often navigating complex workforce challenges. The MSc International Human Resource Management helps students develop the knowledge, judgement and professional understanding needed to respond with confidence."
The MSc International Human Resource Management programme joins a relatively small number of UK programmes recognised through the SHRM Academic Alignment Program, providing additional recognition for students seeking an internationally focused HR education.
