Description

London Universities Purchasing Consortium
After competitive tendering under EC Procurement Regulations, the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC), of which QMUL is a member, has awarded contracts for the supply of desktop computers and laptops for personal use. Our purchasing policy is to support and use the LUPC agreements, which:

    • provides excellent prices and overall value for money;
    • allows individual members of staff and students to purchase privately at LUPC contract prices.

Apple Store for Education

Apple education pricing is available to university students, students accepted into university, parents buying for university students, teachers and staff at all levels. Students should apply through the Financial Assistance Fund if they do not have the resources to purchase their own laptop. See: http://www.arcs.qmul.ac.uk/students/finances/bursaries-grants-scholarships/financial-assistance-fund/

This is open to any student, and ARCS will assess each request individually based on that students’ circumstances. The application is not a guarantee of success, because there is an element of assessing the applicant’s existing finances. This is not just for laptops, but for any resource/service that students not already in receipt of a bursary requires for academic success and which they cannot afford.
