Professor David Blanchflower CBE (Economics, 1985), for services to economics and to the Monetary Policy Committee, Bank of England.

Professor Yvonne Helen Carter CBE, MD, FRCGP, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for regional engagement, University of Warwick, former Professor and Head of Department of General Practice and Primary at the School of Medicine and Dentistry (1996-2003) and Honorary Fellow since 2004, for services to medical education.

Rt Hon, Rt Rev Richard Chartres KCVO, PC, The Bishop of London. In 1999, Rt Reverend Chartes was awarded a University of London Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) at Queen Mary, University of London.

Dr Elizabeth Sidwell OBE (Geography, 1973), Chief Executive Officer of Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation, for services to local and national education.

Professor Graham Zellick CBE, MA, PhD, LLD, LHD, AcSS, Hon FSALS, Former Chairman, Criminal Cases Review Commission and Principal of Queen Mary, University of London (1990-98), for services to the administration of justice.
