Research at QMUL is diverse, ranging from work undertaken by individuals to international experiments with collaborations of thousands.
Much of our research spans traditional academic disciplines and engages with partners across the public and private sectors. PhD students play a central part in our thriving research community contributing to research papers, seminars, events community engagement and outreach work across the university. QMUL has strengths in many different disciplines and hosts over 50 dedicated research centres, which range from the River Communities Group, to Global Shakespeare, the Centre for the History of the Emotions, Neuroscience and Trauma, and the Centre for Digital Music, to name a few.
