Dr Szilvia Mosonyi received the Postgraduate Support award, for her work transforming the School’s admissions processes, and PhD committee operation. Dr Mosonyi was also recognised for ensuring effective programme support during a period of turnover in staffing.

Sabien Faber received the Careers and Employability award for her work developing the Placements experience in SBM. Sabine was praised for her creation of a Placements Working Group across the HSS faculty and was said to have gone “above and beyond” in the work to make placements an integral part of student experience.

Dr. Georgy Petrov, Ripa Parvin, and Dr. Monica Mendiratta received the EDI Award for openness and Inclusion, in recognition of their work on Step Ahead Plus. This innovative programme gives incoming students with BTEC qualifications a head start on university life. They attend a week of activities led by current QM students, allowing them to experience university life, make connections and get to know Campus.

Commenting on the awards, Professor Mike Noon, Dean of the School of Business and Management and Professor of Human Resource Management said:

“Congratulations to our winners for this well-deserved recognition. These are fine examples of the excellent work being undertaken across SBM by colleagues. We are fortunate to have a large number of talented staff committed to enhancing and improving learning, the student experience and our research culture.”
