Welcome to the Blizard Institute! On these pages you will find all of the necessary mandatory training links, policies and procedures you need to complete and information that you will find useful to carry out your role successfully.
All staff and students: All new starters who will be working in the office areas should organise an induction with their centre manager or administrator. See contact details for your centres.
Lab-based staff and students: All new staff and students who will be working in the laboratories must have a health and safety induction from Laboratory Management. New starters should contact their centre manager or administrator who will arrange this. Lab inductions are held every Monday and Friday at 10am. See contact details for Laboratory Management.
Blizard new starter welcome lunch: The Blizard Institute holds several new starter welcome lunches throughout the year. Key members of Blizard administration and leadership will introduce themselves and their role, and you will have the opportunity to meet other new starters from across the Institute. All new starters will receive an invitation to register for an upcoming welcome lunch when these are due to take place. If you have not received an invitation, please contact d.m.bell@qmul.ac.uk.
Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD) welcome event: The Faculty Welcome Event is a great way to meet other newcomers and to hear from our Faculty Leadership about our strategic mission. Register on the FMD web page.
