Success for the WHRI at the Queen Mary Education Excellence Awards and President and Principal’s prize

We are pleased to announce that Dr Parjam Zolfaghari, Professor Nick Goulding and Dr Martin Carrier from Queen Mary’s William Harvey Research Institute (WHRI) were one of several winners at the Queen Mary Education Excellence Award and President and Principal's Prizes for 2019/20.

Dr Parjam Zolfaghari (Education Excellence Award) was recognised for his work as the lead on the Critical Care MSc programme at the WHRI, whilst Professor Nick Goulding and Dr Martin Carrier (Education Excellence Award) were recognised for their contributions as a part of the Student Academic and Pastoral Support Team at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

The awards recognise excellence in teaching and learner support at institutional level, including endeavour beyond the classroom or behind the scenes. Individuals and teams are recognised for identifying an issue or area for improvement or innovation which aligns with the Going for Gold strategy and highlights work to address it through an evaluative and evidence-informed approach.  

The awards were presented by Professor Colin Bailey, President and Principal and Professor Stephanie Marshall (Vice-Principal (Education) at a ceremony held on the evening of Tuesday 10th December at Mucci's, Mile End Campus.
