QMUL is proud to announce a new partnership with CONICYT, the Chilean government's scholarship-awarding body, to co-fund Masters and PhDs across all subject areas.
This scheme will provide the winners with full funding for tution fees and living costs, as well as flights and visa costs.
Chilean nationals with an undergraduate degree are eligible to apply and applications for the scholarship must be made directly to CONCICYT here. The application window will open at the end of February and will be open for 1 month. Applicants must have an offer from QMUL in order to apply to CONICYT for the scholarship.
This scholarship can be used for any of our full-time Masters courses (except the MSc Plant and Fungal Taxonomy Diversity and Conservation) across all three of our academic Faculties: Medicine and Dentistry, Science and Engineering, and Humanities and Social Sciences. For a full list of our Masters courses please consult our Taught Programme Finder.
The scholarship can also be used for PhD programmes across all subject areas. However, it is vital that applicants find an academic supervisor in advance of making the application. Supervisors can be found using the School websites and should be contacted via email. Following informal discussions if the academic agrees to supervise you they will encourage you to apply to QMUL for the standard route.
The Language Centre at QMUL offers pre-sessional English courses for 5, 9 and 13 weeks depending on the length required to meet the IELTS requirements. The CONICYT scholarship will also cover these language courses if required to meet the conditions of the offer.
Funding for Tuition and Living Costs
CONICYT scholars at QMUL on Masters programmes will have their full tuition fees covered and be paid a monthly allowance for the full 12 month period.
CONICYT scholars at QMUL on PhD programmes will have their tuition fees covered for up to 4 years and will be paid a monthly allowance throughout the period of study (up to 4 years).
The applications for a CONICYT scholarship is separate to the application for admission to QMUL. Applicants must make two separate applications.
