We want you to feel welcome when you join Queen Mary University of London. You can find information below about events and activities to introduce you to the campus and our community.
For September starters, Welcome Week took place from Monday 18 to Friday 22 September 2017. Although teaching starts from Monday 25 September 2017, there are still opportunities to take part in activities, get to know the university and find out about the Students' Union and the support available to you.
If you've arrived late, make sure you contact your school or institute to find out what information you may have missed for starting your course. Our late arrivals page also has suggestions for people to contact and things to do to help you. The Students' Union runs social events throughout the year so there are lots of opportunities to get involved and make friends.
Take a look at our Welcome Guide for information about the university.

QMSU runs a range of events over the year, including non-alcohol options and activities for postgraduate students. The Try Something New programme is a series of student-led events, which runs throughout the first semester. Download the programme below.
