Undergraduate Bursary

The School of Law offers a £2,000 bursary to students in the first year of their three or four-year LLB. The awardee of this bursary will be selected on the basis of academic excellence and potential, but also be recognised to be from a Widening Participation background.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants of this bursary will be assessed on their academic achievement prior to starting at Queen Mary University of London, and will be assessed based on the grades of previous qualifications. Eligibility will also be assessed by the University’s Widening Participation team using information provided by Student Finance England.

Applicants must also fulfil the following eligibility criteria to be considered for the Undergraduate Bursary:

  • must be in the first year of their three-year or four-year LLB;
  • must be assessed by Student Finance England to have a residual household income of £25,000 or less per year.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of their UCAS applications, results to date, potential contribution to the School and the statement provided in application
