On 26 June 2023, Dr Davor Jancic, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law, gave an invited talk in the Austrian Parliament as part of the 1st Austrian Day of Parliamentary Research, organised by the Parliament’s Administration.
His talk dealt with the role of the European Parliament (EP) as a diplomatic actor in EU-China relations. The talk demonstrated the opportunities and obstacles faced by the EP when utilising different instruments and platforms to influence trade, human rights and security agendas towards China in pursuit of foreign policy objectives.
