For me, the LLM was a great experience both academically and personally. It has shaped my career, sparked interest in new areas of law and helped me to develop the knowledge and skills to take my career forward. Also I met some amazing people during my studies. Being part of this initiative is a way of giving back to this amazing community and supporting CCLS and Queen Mary.

What do you think the importance of the UK Chapter is?

The UK Chapter helps to promote the exchange of ideas and experiences, supports networking opportunities and brings people together (whether they are old friends or they are meeting for the first time). It is also a great opportunity to encourage prospective students to join CCLS. Ultimately, I think it is about reinforcing the sense of community we shared as students and carrying it across to our professional lives.

How do you hope the Chapter will benefit alumni who join?

Being part of the UK Chapter is a great opportunity for alumni as well as students/prospective students to connect and discuss anything from legal topics, regulatory developments to career goals but also, very importantly, to enjoy a beer or two together!
