Marijo AlcalaWhy did you decide to get involved with the CCLS Philippines Chapter?

Being part of the CCLS Philippines Chapter allows us to meet fellow alumni in the Philippines, form new friendships from our shared experience at Queen Mary, and work together to widen and strengthen the CCLS network.

What do you think the importance of the Philippines Chapter is?

Having a strong circle of alumni gives us the opportunity to provide support to other CCLS students and alumni, and to stay connected with CCLS and participate in our alma mater’s activities. Also, being able to demonstrate a strong relationship among CCLS alumni could hopefully encourage other legal practitioners to consider studying in Queen Mary and joining our chapter.

How do you hope the Chapter will benefit alumni who join?

With the Philippines Chapter, I hope that opportunities for continued learning through Queen Mary would be available to the alumni, such as short courses on relevant areas of law or online library access.
