About the Role

We are looking for an individual to identify issues and provide solutions for the management, organisation and delivery of essential administrative processes related to education programmes. The key areas to address are quality of information and documentation, compliance with University regulations, programme content, and management of assessments process focus on quality assurance and maintenance of up to date records. The post holder will design and implement systems related to quality process and tracking of information required for professional bodies.  The post holder will be an important member of the Taught Programmes Team with responsibility for creating, checking and maintaining documentation and archives of the content and diets of programmes, working closely with academic staff and team members to deliver excellent student experience.

 

About You

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have administrative experience, ideally within the field of Quality Assurance within the field of Higher Education.  Experience of developing procedures is desirable, as well as the ability to inform decision making.  You will be a team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who also has the ability to balance competing pressures, deadlines and complex demands.

 

About the School of Engineering and Materials Science

This post is within the School of Engineering and Materials Science, a large School with 110 academics and a similar number of postdoctoral research staff. There are around 1000 undergraduate and taught postgraduate students and 220 PhD students. These are supported by an administrative and technical staff team of 45. The staff and student body are international in make-up.

 Staff in the administration office work on campus a minimum of three days a week.
