About the Role

Applications are invited for a 12-month fixed-term Learning Technologist (Maternity Cover) in the School of History’s Teaching and Learning team, who are responsible for operational delivery of the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes. This role will be responsible for enhancing the use of learning technologies across the School providing expert advice, guidance, and support to academic and professional staff.

Reporting to the Teaching and Learning Manager, this role will be responsible for setting-up, maintaining, developing, and improving user experience for various E-Learning platforms, including developing documentation and relevant training. The role will also be responsible for managing School of History records on timetabling and student record systems, and overseeing management of the School’s Examination processes, plagiarism cases, assessment deadline extensions, arranging in-class tests, and supporting the School’s Examination Boards for UGT and PGT programmes.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience of using virtual learning environments, knowledge of learning technologies and skilled at working with computer-based record systems and be a critical and detail-oriented creative systems thinker committed to promoting continuous improvement and problem solving. They will also have good communication and organisational skills and be committed to supporting students and staff.
