About the Role

The post is based in the Trauma Sciences research team (https://www.c4ts.qmul.ac.uk/) within the Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma. To address some of our research priorities we lead a large-scale platform observational study: Activation of Coagulation and Inflammation in Trauma (ACIT-II). C4TS leads, coordinates and/or participates in other clinical trials such as ReWiRe (REscue WIth Regadenoson).

The post holder’s primary role will:

  1. manage ReWiRe and ACIT-II in collaboration with the Chief Investigators and Trial Management Groups, and
  2. act as the site coordinator for other clinical trials at RLH in collaboration with the local Principal Investigator and the coordinating centres

Previous clinical trials research experience in multi-site, multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting is essential. Previous experience in trauma research would be beneficial.

The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre, and supports a combined total of c700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
