About the Role

The post holder will be part of the International Research and Innovation Team providing a customer focused and efficient costing and contracts support services for applications to international funding applications including EU Horizon UKRI guaranteed funding. Your role will be key in ensuring fast and efficient administration of research costing and contract services, with a focus on quality and responsiveness. You will be expected to keep up to date with changes in funders’ positions and to share knowledge amongst relevant central and school/institute based teams. Budgeting on WorkTribe and contracts training will be provided and you will be supported by senior colleagues within the team throughout.

 

About You

You will have extensive experience of working in pre-award role within HEI or another organisation dealing with funding bodies and sponsors in relation to EU or International research. You will have good knowledge in EU or international funding available for researchers at various points in their career and ability to communicate highly complex information with researchers, managers and funders are essential. You will work in a demanding and challenging environment to ensure deadlines are met; and have the ability to pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure high accuracy in research costing and contracts.

 

About the Department

The newly created International Research and Innovation team will manage research and partnership development plus pre and post-award support for EU and international research collaborations across all three Faculties. It aims to provide strategic engagement of international partners and funders externally, deliver competitive and high quality proposals and projects internally, and to ensure compliance with the UK, EU and international regulations and funder requirements.
