Foundation programmes

The following Nigerian qualifications will be considered for entry onto a Queen Mary Foundation course:

  • West African Senior School Certificate (WASSC)
  • Senior School Certificate (NECO)

Undergraduate

How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website.

Pre-Masters Programmes

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our Graduate Diploma programmes:

  • Bachelor degree awarded from selected institutions.

Or

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) – minimum 2 years – from selected institutions.  The minimum overall final marks required will be either a GPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 or a GPA of 3.2 out of 5.0 (- offer conditions will vary depending on institution attended).

Postgraduate

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree from selected institutions.

UK 1st class degree: GPA 4.50 out of 5.00; or GPA 6.0 out of 7.0
UK 2:1 degree: GPA 3.50 out of 5.00; or GPA 4.6 out of 7.0
UK 2:2 degree: GPA 2.80 out of 5.00; or GPA 3.0 out of 7.0
