Centre for Digital Music: Past, Present and Future

To mark 10 years since the start of Digital Music research at Queen Mary, the Centre for Digital Music (C4DM) will be celebrating with a 1-day event. The day will highlight some of the achievements of C4DM over the last 10 years. We will hear about what some past C4DM members have been working on, and see posters and demonstrations of our current research in audio engineering, interactional sound and music, music informatics, and machine listening. We will also look at how our research is making an impact, and look into the future of digital music and the future shape of research at C4DM.

Speakers from the Centre for Digital Music include Mark Sandler, Mark Plumbley, Josh Reiss, Simon Dixon, Nick Bryan-Kinns, Adam Stark and Rebecca Stewart.

Also speaking will be John Baird, Head of the RCUK Digital Economy Programme at EPSRC and several past members of C4DM including Juan Bello (New York University), Jean-Julien Aucouturier, Yves Raimond (BBC Future Media & Technology), and Enrique Perez (Solid State Logic).
