Queen Mary hosted the annual EIPIN doctoral meeting

Professor Guido Westkamp hosted the annual EIPIN doctoral meeting and Congress on 10 and 11 April. The Congress covered a range of cutting-edge legal issues concerning artificial intelligence, especially with regard to current IP, copyright and competition law aspects.

Speakers and contributors included Professor Peter Mezei (University of Szeged), Dr Enrico Bonadio (City University), Dr Alexandra von Westernhagen (Keystone Law, Brussels/London), Professor Martin Senftleben (Director, Institute for Information Law, University of Amsterdam), Professor Robert Brauneis (George Washington University, Washington DC), Professor Christophe Geiger (LUISS Univerity Rome), Dr Luke McDonagh (LSE), Dr Marc Mimler (City University) and Professor Noam Shemtov (QM). The doctoral meeting saw presentations and commentary from PhD students covering diverse and topical issues in IP law and beyond. EIPIN is a European network of intellectual scholars led, at CCLS, by Professors Noam Shemtov and Guido Westkamp.
