What influenced your decision to choose a LLM at Queen Mary?

Queen Mary is a globally known university and it is different from others because it provides a diverse set of modules. This would expose me to newer modules and widen my knowledge. Additionally, this would help me narrow down my area of interest.

How did you find the teaching and learning?

Even though most of the teaching was online this year, the faculty put their best efforts to teach us and provide a normal classroom experience. All the classes were very interactive. All the facilities such as library services were provided online so this gave us easy access to all material and resources. I was able to sit in one place and research a lot more.

What was key about your programme/ were there any highlights?

Even though I did not get to meet many people in person. All the classes were so interactive that I got to know many new people from different parts of the World.  The modules were in depth and I needed to do a lot of research for both exam as well as essays, hence I learnt a lot.

Did you combine modules across specialisations and if so, what were the advantages of this?

Yes, I chose diverse modules; this helped me gain a lot more insight into new areas, which I had not touched upon before. Therefore, I was able to learn something new as well as narrow down on my area of interest.

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

You should join Queen Mary as its faculty, resources and modules offered are phenomenal. I had a great experience and learnt so much. You must too. It’s an honour to be taught under such pioneers in the subject.

Has gaining a deeper understanding of your specialisation helped your career?

Since I chose a diverse set of modules. I was able to narrow down on my interests and plan my future accordingly.

What was your best experience of studying at Queen Mary?

My best experience was researching for my dissertation, as I was able to explore a wide range of resources. Also, reading different materials and understanding viewpoints of various authors. The best part was that most of the articles were written by professors I interacted with. This made me proud and eager to read more.
