Saturday Morning Live with Esther and Phillip
Professor Eric Heinze appeared on the GB News programme to discuss how the Labour Party's proposal for a new Racial Equality Act could play a helpful role.
He said: “You can have laws which fosters programmes simply to promote investment in certain neighbourhoods and certain areas and to promote businesses. A law doesn't necessarily mean that somebody goes to prison. There are many things that laws can do to facilitate learning, to promote, to reaffirm value."
Eric Heinze is Professor of Law and Humanities at Queen Mary University of London.
