Centre for Genomic Health

2018 Projects

Projects funded for the 2018 call have been a collaborative effort between the LSI Centre for Genomic Health and the LSI Centre for Computational Biology.

Topics have focused on understanding cancer processes and blood vessels genetically and through computational and mathematical modelling.

2018 Projects

  • Understanding alternative splicing in human cancer by proteomics informed by transcriptomics (PIT)
  • Reconstructing tumour growth history by one-time sampled spatial information through computational and mathematical modelling
  • Select CAD risk genes with identified LoF mutations in the East London Genes & Health study and prioritise the ones that overlap with risk factors such as lipid levels and blood pressure to recall individuals for in-depth phenotyping and functional follow-up of selected genes

We will be sharing more information on these projects in the coming weeks.
