Kick off Meeting

The EVOluTION kick-off meeting was held in London on 5th of April 2016. As the coordinating institution of the consortium, the William Harvey Research Institute invited all project partners to this one-day-meeting.

We at the WHRI are very pleased to coordinate this very innovative and multidiscipliary training network. With the competent and dynamic team of beneficiaries and partners on board, this program will ultimately create a new generation of scientists that have research, entrepreneurial and business skills.

Scientific Workshops

Two Scientific Workshops are planned in the first reporting period of the programme. The first workshop took place in January, 2017 and the second workshop took place in April/May 2018, both in Maastricht. The workshops featured lectures and seminars on advanced topics, given by experts drawn from the ITN and Senior Lecturers from external organizations.

Summer Schools

Two Summer Schools at QMUL are planned during the lifetime of the network. They will consist of a series of short courses on advanced topics, given by experts drawn from within and outside the ITN. In addition, there will be a series of seminars to give ESRs a broad overview of EVOluTION individual research projects. The First Summer School was held on the 6th-8th of September, 2017 and the Second Summer School on 10-14 September 2018.

Transferable Skills Training

Seven Transferable Skills Training courses (Month 10, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, and 42) lasting one day each, guarantees global and relevant training through knowledge creation, knowledge exploitation and knowledge communication.
